    2. Love this private eye and the way Ms. Grafton gives details of the little things we might otherwise have missed.

    5. I've read some of the reviewers who did not like this book. All I can say about that is they must not be Kinsey Millhone fans. With only three more letters in the Alphabet to name her books Grafton could easily have "phoned it in" and simply written a formulaic mystery adventure. Instead she changed some things up, introduced us to some new distant relatives of Kinsey's, some of which are likable and some not and Kinsey even gets a new car, well new for her anyway. So she won't be quite so consp [...]

    6. I finally finished reading it after starting it 4 months ago. I would read for a while and then read something else. I had a death in the family during part of that time and returned to the book after discovering the plot involved Kinsey being named in the will of one of the characters. I disagree with Kinsey informing family members about the death and their not inheriting anything. The notifications, etc could have been mailed to them after the estate has finished probate. If there would have b [...]

    7. I wanted to read something from Sue Grafton for awhile and when this came up practically free, I stopped what I was reading and began it. I am a sucker for a strong, yet vulnerable woman who is smart yet not too tough. The story line was interesting and there was more than one plot going here which is always interesting. But I found I was getting tired of the lengthy dialogue in different places of the story after awhile and wanted it to get going. In fact, I started putting the book down mor [...]

    8. I enjoyed reconnecting with Kinsey. With her background so veiled in mystery, it was good to learn something about her father, no matter how minuscule. I like the characters but I found this one much too wordy. The mysteries solved were convoluted but I liked that. Knowing what was going to happen in the final chapter was ok too but I would have liked a little more aftermath. The epilogue helped. Kinsey seemed less capable or sure of herself. I blamed this on the shock of finding she was th [...]

    9. I am always so excited when Sue Grafton puts out a new book in her alphabet series. I have loved Kinsey forever! She is one of my favorite characters. She usually feels like an old friend. But I have to be honest that I was disappointed in W is for Wasted. I felt the descriptions were a little ridiculous. Ms. Grafton spent pages upon pages describing things that did not matter. I can appreciate flowered descriptions if they are warranted but these descriptions felt like page filler.I also felt l [...]
